Today,the Starting Point Kids celebrated at the yearly God's Creation Party. This year's God's Creation Party was a blast! It gets better and better each year. The students had a wonderful time as well as our parent volunteers, Mr. Lee and Ms. Barnett (Kymora's parents), Mr. Barnett (Kymora's grandfather, visiting from Dallas, Texas), Ms. and Mrs. Haynes (Seth and Zoe's parents) and their grandmother Ms. Dorothy Haynes), Ms. Williams (Tamyah's mom), Ms. Lee (Jade's mom), Mrs. Wooten (Jacob's mom), and Mrs. Erby (Austin's mom) all volunteered at our party.
The games and activity stations were spectacular. They consisted of musical chairs, the dance freeze game, a doctor's station, arts and crafts, and a popcorn station. The students also made caramel apples.
Let's not forget, "THE FOOD". The staff of Starting Point set it out for everyone to enjoy. We had hot dogs, chicken wings, shrimp, potato salad, apple pie and sweet potato pie just to name a few.
To end this event we had a costume party that was judged by our parent volunteers. The winners where:
* James W. - Best Costume (boxer)
* Sabrina H. - Most Creative Costume (Queen Bee)
* Aniyah H. - Most Original Costume (Angel)
So that no student would be disappointed, they all received a prize. Wow, what a way to end a party!
